From March 14th to June 21st, a series of bronze sculptures of the Hellenistic Age will be on display at Palazzo Strozzi. Built in 1489, Palazzo Strozzi is a testament to the infamous rivalry between the Strozzi and the Medici as it recalls Palazzo Medici’s immense pietra forte construction, and the decades of conflict between the warring families. The sculptures come to Florence from museums all over the world, and are wonderful indicators of the artistic progress that was made during the Hellenistic Age.
