The oldest workshop in Florence still in operation today, Filistrucchi, has been at the frontier of costume and theatrical design since 1720. Producing wigs, masks, costume makeup, and set designs for almost 300 years, Filistrucchi has had clients ranging from nobles, dames, knights and servants, to great characters of drama, musicals, and dance in theaters across Italy and the United States. Filistrucchi has also worked with several well-known actors and producers, including Takeshi Kitano in “La storia di tre città,” in which Kitano played the role of Niccolò Machiavelli. Continuing its century-long tradition, Filistrucchi will present one of its own artistic creations on Gian Gastone, as he re-emerges three centuries later, from the very time period that Filistrucchi was born, to today. On April 29th, check out Filistrucchi and Gian Gastone at the premiere of the Medici Dynasty Show.
